Since 1901, Vispring has defined the art of the handcrafted luxury bed. Born in London and made by hand in Plymouth, England, each mattress is built using time-honoured techniques and the finest natural materials — from British wool and cashmere to silk and horsehair.

At the heart of every Vispring lies our pioneering pocket spring — crafted in-house with nine wire gauges and 74 distinct spring types, nestled within natural cotton calico pockets. Every mattress is made to order, entirely by hand, by our 200 skilled craftspeople in Devon.

Royal recognition — Vispring mattresses have graced the suites of the RMS Titanic, the bedrooms of European royalty, and the world’s most celebrated hotels. In 1977, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II received a Vispring Regal Supreme for her Silver Jubilee. In 2024, we were honoured with the King’s Award for Enterprise.

Mattresses

Every Vispring mattress begins with its springs — hand-nested Vanadium steel pocket springs crafted in-house at our Plymouth workshop. Layered with the finest natural fibres, from British wool to cashmere and silk, each mattress is made entirely by hand to deliver true, personalised comfort.

Divans

Our hand-upholstered divans are the ideal base for any Vispring mattress. Vanadium pocket springs are carefully nested within a solid timber frame, creating a responsive layer that works in harmony with the mattress above for the most comfortable sleep possible.

Headboards

Just as much attention to detail goes into our headboard designs. Hand-finished with the softest materials and built for durability, each bespoke headboard can be dressed in a fabric from our collection or customised to your own choice.

Mattress Toppers

Add an extra layer of luxury with a mattress topper. Handmade to order with the same skill and care as our mattresses, each one is hand-filled with the softest natural fibers and finished with the most comfortable materials.
